Lease End Process at Land Rover Santa Barbara

If you are currently leasing through Land Rover Financial Services, you may have questions about what to expect at the end of your lease. This guide provides you with an explanation of lease-end options and the procedures to follow at vehicle turn-in.

Option 1 - Get into a new Land Rover

Step 1 - Contact Land Rover Santa Barbara
Visit Land Rover Santa Barbara and view our current New or Used inventory. If you're interested in a particular vehicle, call or stop by to take it for a test drive to ensure it's the right Land Rover for you.

Step 2 - Evaluate your current Land Rover.
All inspections are completed through AutoVin. It is recommended that you schedule an inspection about 30-90 days before your lease end. You can call AutoVin at 1-800-556-2811 or visit autovinlive.com. Any damage to your vehicle that is deemed to be excess wear and use is chargeable. Please have your account number and vin number ready to schedule appointment.

Step 3 - If necessary, repair your current Land Rover
If there is any excess wear and use present, you will receive an estimated cost for repair shortly after your vehicle inspection. You will be required to forward your repair receipts to Land Rover Financial Services to ensure that your end of lease billing is updated accordingly. Or, if more convenient and /or cost effective, you can choose to return your vehicle as is and pay any outstanding charges via your final bill.*

Step 4 - Return your current lease at the same time you pick up your new lease. Your sales person will coordinate the new car pick up with your current lease turn in to make the process as simple and time effective as possible. If you have already done the inspection, there will be no further inspection of the vehicle. If no inspection has been completed, Land Rover Financial Services will schedule Autovin to perform a final inspection after you have returned your vehicle. *
Option 2 - Turn in your current Land Rover

Step 1 - Evaluate your current Land Rover

If there is any excess wear and use present, you will receive an estimated cost for repair shortly after your vehicle inspection. We can help you with repair options if needed

Step 3 - Returning your Land Rover
Please contact Land Rover Santa Barbara and schedule an appointment to return your vehicle on or before your lease maturity date. Land Rover Santa Barbara will review the condition of your vehicle and confirm that the necessary repairs have/have not been made
Option 3 - Keeping your current Land Rover

  1. Make arrangements to keep driving your current Land Rover by extending your lease, or re-leasing the current vehicle
  2. Purchase your vehicle outright with financing options through Land Rover Financial Services.

Should you wish to purchase the vehicle that you are currently driving, you may do so by paying the residual value shown on your original lease agreement. You can choose to either finance the total amount due with Land Rover Financial Services or pay it off completely. Please contact our Finance Department (805) 682-2000 with any questions if you would like to try and purchase your vehicle.

*Please make note that if you are returning vehicle and not re-leasing there is a disposition fee from Land Rover Financial or US Bank as noted on your lease contract in addition to any other charges upon inspection of your vehicle. Jaguar Santa Barbara is not responsible for the end of lease inspection, if there are any discrepancies in the charges please take it up with Land Rover Financial or US Bank directly.
